How many days does it take to summit Everest from Base Camp?
The Mount Everest expedition takes around 55 to 60 days to complete from the Southeast ridge route. The total expedition duration is around 7 to 9 weeks. It takes about a week to arrive at the base camp from the Lukla airport.
For the next 3 to 4 weeks climbers go up and down the camp for preparing and adjusting to the high altitude conditions. Besides that, the climbers also set up camps for fuel, food, and oxygen. The average time duration to arrive at the Everest summit from the Base Camp is 40 to 45 days.
